Top Ecommerce Marketing Conferences for the Rest of 2018

With Shoptalk 2018 kicking off this Sunday in Las Vegas, we were inspired to do a round-up other ecommerce conferences taking place in the coming months.

In addition to Shoptalk (you’re cutting it close if you haven’t planned to go yet), here are four other conferences worth your time and money for networking with peers and shedding new light on consumer behavior and ecommerce strategies.

Shoptalk

March 18-21, Las Vegas, NV

Shoptalk is arguably the world’s most well-known retail conference, covering new ecommerce technologies, business strategies and how to stay ahead of ever-changing consumer habits. The agenda for next week’s conference shows a wide variety of sessions led by C-level execs from both retail giants and fast-growing startups. Topics include the future of marketing, the customer journey, artificial intelligence, digital payments, and more. Shoptalk 2018 expects over 7,500 attendees.

Retail Innovation Conference

April 30-May 2, New York City, NY

At this new but growing conference in New York City, retailers, industry analysts and service executives will congregate for hands-on workshops and panel discussions. There will also be plenty of opportunities to spark new ideas during lunchtime roundtables, cocktail receptions, and dinners. Speakers include executives from Walmart, BJ’s, 1-800-Flowers, and Overstock.

IRCE

June 5-8, Chicago, IL

Much like Shoptalk, the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE) comes stocked with workshops, sessions led by industry experts, and an exhibit hall filled with cutting edge technologies on display. Bring your ideas, concerns, and business cards because IRCE is also a networking goldmine with thousands of ecommerce industry peers in attendance.

E-tail East

August 6-9, 2018, Boston, MA

For four days in August, approximately 2,000 attendees and 1,100 retailers from various industries will come together in Boston for E-tail East. This nearly 20-year-old trade show includes sessions led by executives from Wayfair, Subway, Drizly, SeatGeek, Rue La La, Lowe’s and many others. This is one of the top events in the east coast for networking and discussing marketing tactics and ecommerce best practices.

Shop.org

Sept 12-14, Las Vegas, NV

Shop.org is a popular conference focusing on ecommerce trends and technologies that brands can put into use to improve ROI and increase revenue. Sessions include strategy tips from successful brands across automotive, retail, entertainment and hospitality as well as tech talks introducing new ecommerce technologies. Like with any show of this magnitude, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with your peers. While shop.org hasn’t announced 2018 speakers, last year’s speakers included Kobe Bryant, Tyra Banks and brands such as CVS, Panera, Disney and Target did presentations.

Retail Global

October 9-11, Las Vegas, NV

Retail Global conference has more of a entrepreneurial slant than the others on this list. Up-and-coming retailers can connect with hundreds of online merchants both small and giant. You will hear from speakers from major brands such as Google, Wish.com, eBay, and Amazon. The conference itself entails 50 speakers over three days in addition to workshops, panel discussions, stream sessions, exhibition booths, and a networking event/pool party.
